    • 10 Solar-Train fellows presented their latest results on the SOPHIA Webinar, on the 29th May 2020
    • Chiara Barretta (PCCL) presented Solar-Train and “Characterization of Polymeric Materials for PV applications” at a seminar at ENEA (Italian Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development) in Portici, Italy, on the 6th February 2020
    • Ismail Kaaya (Fraunhofer ISE) gave a successful oral presentation on "Modeling Outdoor Service Lifetime Prediction of PV Modules: Effects of Combined Climatic Stressors on PV Module Power Degradation" at 46th IEEE PVSC Conference on the 20th June 2019 in Chicago, USA.
    • Sascha Lindig (EURAC) presented his poster "Performance Loss Rates of PV systems of Task 13 database" and "Service Lifetime Prediction of PV Modules and Systems: Progress of the Solar-Train Project" together with Ismail Kaaya (Fraunhofer ISE) at 46th IEEE PVSC Conference in Chicago, USA.
    • Sascha Lindig (EURAC) gave a presentation called "Do we really know how to calculate Performance Loss Rates?" within the frame of Task13 on the Intersolar conference on the 14th May 2019 in Munich, Germany.
    • Djamel Eddine Mansour (Fraunhofer ISE) presented his poster at the 9th Conference on Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaics on 10th April 2019 in Leuven, Belgium.
    • Ismail Kaaya (Fraunhofer ISE) gave an interview for the Ugandan TV-Channel UBC to explain his work and the problems of PV situation in Uganda. Click here to watch the video on YouTube.
    • Chiara Barretta (PCCL) won a Poster Award for the best Visual Presentations 2018 at EU PVSEC on 28th October 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.
    • Sascha Lindig (EURAC) gave an oral presentation about "Evaluation of Technology-Dependent Maximum Power Point Current and Voltage Degradation in a Temperate Climate" at EU PVSEC on 25th September 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.
    • Nine Solar-Train fellows presented their posters at the EU PVSEC on 24-28th October 2018 in Brussels, Belgium.
    • The Solar-Train team has achieved the half-time of their project. The Mid-Term Meeting was successfully held on 5-6th September 2018 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
    • 14 Solar-Train fellows presented their individual research poster on the 4th September 2018 at the 8th SOPHIA PV-Reliability Workshop in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
    • Chiara Barretta did a presentation on her SolarTrain-project at “Falling Walls Lab Austria” on the 13th of April 2018, in Vienna, in line with the “Long Night of Research 2018”.
    • Sascha Lindig did a poster presentation on the "Evaluation of Technology-Dependent Maximum Power Point Current and Voltage Degradation in a Temperate Climate" at the PV Reliability Workshop, which was hosted by NREL and took place from the 27th of February until the 1st of March 2018 in Lakewood/Colorado.
    • Guillermo Hernandez (BayWa r.e.) presented his case study “Infrared (IR) inspections with drones to improve performance analysis” in the SolarPower Europe Digitalisation Taskforce Expert Workshop on 5th October 2017 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
    • Solar-Train fellow Chiara Barretta (PCCL) at the European Researchers' Night be-SCIENCEd in Vienna on 29th September 2017.

    • First ESRs have joined their host institutions at the beginning of April 2017. 
    • Our Recruiting Day was held on 17th January 2017 in Brussels, Belgium. Thanks to everyone who contributed to a  successful event. We have found a group of very qualified and promising ESRs and look forward to start the programme in April 2017.
    • The Kick-off meeting was held in Frankfurt, Germany on 27th October 2016.
